Why are you doing this?

I am a curious music listener. Whenever I discover something new, I get excited. I believe there are countless music genres out there that are only known to smaller groups of people, no matter how significant they may be. Western popular music often takes the spotlight, but I want to highlight a slice of music history that are overlooked or under-appreciated. It certainly tickles my music curiosity, and hopefully, yours too!! Berlin is the perfect place for this because it’s such an international hub.

Who is Teshi?

I’m a former music journalist who has contributed reviews and interviews to The Fader, The Japan Times, and several music publications in Tokyo. Now based in Berlin, I organize Japan-related cultural events for NION playground and listening sessions throughout the city.
